My art is a visual journey to awaken embodied immediacy.
What does it mean to be human?
This current body of work is an inquiry into the experience of being alive as an embodied human. An invitation to rehabilitate our own sensorial sensitivity to life.
Placing body at the forefront, through the practice of presence and perception, it investigates our own lost and found edges, the unseen remnants and hidden bits of darkness and beauty that inhabit the liminal spaces of the non-verbal.
An archiving of time, the mark making displays a perceptual search that voices the fragmented inklings and knowings that arise as an often discontinuous erupting from the wellspring of the unknown. Encountering the intersection between precision and surrender we find an artistic portal into the depth of our own shared humanness.
Recognizing the integration between our interiority and our corporeal external shaping and form allows the linking of the animal body, the emotional body and awareness as a means to fully enter the vast land of aliveness.
